"Navigating student athletes through the storm of life"

Hurricanes Football

We are the Brevard Hurricanes, a Minor League (Adult Amateur) Football team that is in its second season this year. We had a successful inaugural season in 2012-13 and are looking to build upon that success.

We compete in the Florida Football Alliance (FFA)

About The Hurricanes Football Program: Our organization realizes that many of these athletes are fighting an uphill battle with regard to academics and financial resources, which could lead to community college being the most viable short-term solution. Participation in Minor League football will allow the athlete an additional year to develop academically and athletically. We will continue to advocate for the athlete to college programs and coaches and will provide the materials and documentation needed to effectively enhance their marketability. Our Current Roster (2013-14 Season) can be viewed in PDF format.

Participation Requirements: All of our players are not compensated and thus retain their amateur status for college. In lieu of simply charging a "league fee" to play we will expect our players to do the following to be eligible to play:
  • Raise (Player Fee) $150.00 from sponsorship, ticket sales or personal funds
  • Complete 40 hours of community service (documented)
  • Pay a nominal try-out fee of $25.00
Player Contract: All players are required to sign a contract to be a part of the organization and the league. Download the Player Contract here.
